Bald Sea Cucumber, it has a rounder head and plumper body than spiny sea cucumber. Beneath the grey skin is a thick layer of flesh that makes for a softer texture.

Nutritional Value:
Sea cucumber has a mild flavor and neutral nature in traditional Chinese medicine. It is highly nutritious, rich in easily absorbed protein, and known for its benefits in nourishing yin and supporting kidney health. With its tender texture and easy digestibility, it is suitable for both the young and elderly.

Cooking Instructions:

1. Preparation:
   Ensure all utensils used for soaking are clean and free from oil residue.
   
   
2. Initial Soak:
   Boil water, then turn off the heat and place the sea cucumbers into the hot water. Cover and let them sit until the water cools. Then soak in clean water for one day, storing in the refrigerator and changing the water morning and evening.
   
   
3. Repeat Process:
   Check if the sea cucumbers have softened. If not, repeat the boiling and soaking process: boil water, add sea cucumbers, turn off heat, let them sit until cool, then soak in clean water for another day (refrigerated, with water changed twice daily). Repeat until fully softened.
   
   
4. Cleaning: Once softened, cut open and remove the internal organs.
   
   
5. Final Rinse: Boil water with ginger juice (to remove any fishy smell), blanch the rehydrated sea cucumbers for 1 minute, then discard the ginger water.

Storage Instructions:

1. Before Soaking: Store dried sea cucumbers in a cool, ventilated place. For longer-term storage, seal and refrigerate at 0–8°C.
   
   
2. After Soaking: Rehydrated sea cucumbers expand to approximately 5–6 times their original size. Store in the refrigerator in a sealed container and defrost before cooking.
